Description

Footfall in the centre of York from 2009 onwards.

City of York Council is currently (Summer 2025) working with the 3rd party provider to improve the accuracy of the Parliament Street camera counts. Please note that until such work is completed, figures for this camera will be estimates generated by the vendor's software. As we have been informed that estimates over a period of time worsen, data for Parliament St will be suspended from publication from mid-July. Please note that the Micklegate cameras are still operational and footfall data is included in the files as usual.

Data is updated every Tuesday. This dataset also includes a one-off summary of figures for the key streets in York Blake St, Davygate and Goodramgate in November and December 2024.
